In 1996, we began manufacturing Thera-P Bars. Thera-P Bars are the “original” light weight exercise bars and have set the standards for all exercise bars utilized in rehabilitation departments. Our mission is to manufacture a quality-crafted, innovative product for dowel exercises that is safe, practical and convenient for upper body rehab and conditioning.
An occupational therapist conceptualized and designed the Thera-P Bar with its weight self-contained and evenly distributed. This innovative approach replaced the cumbersome, traditional method of wrapping a weight-cuff around a wooden stick or cane.
Because no assembly is required with Thera-P Bars, therapists can give patients more treatment time to achieve meaningful outcomes. Also, the weight does not slide during exercises and is safer for patients to use.
Thera-P Bars are color-coded by weight from 1-10 lbs which provide graded resistance to increase upper body strength, range of motion, endurance and trunk balance. They have become widely accepted and utilized by PTs and OTs in all of the state-of-the-art healthcare facilities in the USA and abroad.
